Overview
Deadlock Studios builds games where the player is never fully in control and the environment is never fully understood. Founded in 2024, the studio's philosophy: "Games should leave marks. Not the kind you forget after credits roll, but the kind that sit in your chest days later."
Challenge
Capture the atmospheric tension of Deadlock's game world — dark, cinematic, and deliberately unsettling — without sacrificing navigability. The site needed to feel like stepping into a level before the game loads.
Solution
Built a full-screen editorial layout using deep greens, surveillance-aesthetic UI panels, and heavy brutalist typography. Each section transitions like a scene cut — the copy does the rest: "We exist in the space where control breaks down and something else takes over."
Outcome
A live website that functions as both portfolio and world-building artifact. Visitors don't browse Deadlock Studios — they're identified. "Let's make something they can't walk away from."
